Miss Bariatric was founded in 2023 with the first UK Finals taking place on the 21st September 2024.

The pageant was designed to empower those who have used weight loss intervention, such as Gastric Bypass, Gastric Sleeve, Gastric Balloon and Gastric Band. 

There is a misconception that those who suffer from Obesity are gluttonous and/or lazy, however it's not always as simple as, "eat less, move more",

Miss Bariatric hopes to fight this stigma and raise awareness of Obesity and contributing factors such as medications and health conditions. 

The contestants will continue to fundraise for
Cancer Research UK, directing funds to cancers linked to Obesity, hitting non-scale victories while doing so.
